BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop, monitor, and update annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
• Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted targets, providing detailed explanations and recommendations.
• Support long-term financial planning aligned with production schedules and capital expenditure requirements.
Management Reporting:
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders, including production cost analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure reporting meets corporate standards and provides clear insights into operational and financial performance.
Financial Analysis:
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess the impact of operational changes, market conditions, and cost drivers on financial outcomes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies through data-driven insights.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with mine operations, procurement, and senior leadership to ensure accurate cost allocation and resource planning.
• Partner with the accounting team to reconcile financial data and maintain integrity in reporting systems.
Process Optimization:
• Implement and refine financial tools, systems, and processes to enhance budgeting and reporting efficiency.
General Duties:
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the finance team and overall mine operations.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA, CMA or related qualification is highly desirable.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proven track record in a managerial role overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools is advantageous.
Industry Knowledge:
• Understanding of mining operations and cost structures.
Regulations:
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Communication:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Leadership:
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
