Overview

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction. 

 

Location: Blackwater Mine site 

 

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

Mine Operation

  • Perform mining-related duties, including moving supplies, cleaning equipment, moving pumps and light plants, and inspecting or driving equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist with general site cleaning and maintenance.
  • Operate haul trucks ranging from 40-ton to 250-ton capacity.
  • Operate medium-duty equipment as required by the project.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, access difficult terrain, use a variety of hand tools, and operate light vehicles in rough terrain.
  • Provide general assistance as needed, contributing to a positive and productive work atmosphere.

 

Dewatering

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and dismantling of pump equipment according to project requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance on pump equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Support the crew in conducting equipment inspections and reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Participate in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring accurate measurements and distribution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Assist in the preparation of job sites, including excavation, grading, and other manual labor task.

 Grade Control

  • Collect samples from the Reverse Circulation (RC) drill and record basic drill hole and sample information
  • Monitor drilling sample quality
  • Deliver samples from the drill to the prep lab
  • Prepare and label sample bags for the RC drill
  • Perform basic sample preparation including drying, weighing and operating a riffle splitter
  • Adhere to sample preparation procedures to ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of analytical results.
  • Prepare samples for delivery to the external laboratory facility, recording relevant information such sample weight, sample ID number
  • Collect samples for ML/ARD monitoring

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a laborer or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and pump operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of drilling operations or working in a lab setting is an asset
  • Experience running heavy equipmentt is an asset.
  • Basic computers skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets) are an asset.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced team members.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
