Overview

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction. 

 

Reporting to the Supervisor – Processing, the Processing Service Crew is responsible for ensuring the process plant is clean and safe and performs a wide range of tasks to support processing operations. This position serves as a trainee role, giving the occupant exposure to various processing circuits to build a career in processing.

 

Location: Blackwater Mine site 

 

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Working with a range of different cleaning equipment.
  • Handling a variety of chemicals and hazardous goods used in cleaning procedures.
  • Working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrating good time management and work ethic.
  • Following cleaning policies and procedures and completing them in a timely manner.
  • General clean up of the processing plant. Snow shoveling and salting of the road surround the processing facility.
  • Shoveling and sweeping of ore spilled in crushing area or slurry in wet plant.
  • Assisting others in the department with required tasks.
  • Ability to understand and take direction from supervision as required.
  • Ability and desire to learn additional skill in process operations.
  • Support various processing circuits.
  • Other labour related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial setting, prefernce given to experince in a mill or mining /processing site considered an asset.
  • Valid drivers license preferred.
  • Skid steer, forklift, zoom boom is considred an asset.
  • Experince working with chemicals or reagents is advantages. 
  • Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
  • Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to work night shift.
