Overview

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction. 

 

Reporting to the Supervisor - Capital Projects, this position would be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment including but not limited to Dozer, Excavator, Grader etc. 

 

Location: Blackwater Mine site

 

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

 

Employment Type: Fixed Term (6 month contract)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Work and operate outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, fog, and winter conditions.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner following manufacturer’s specifications and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and report hazards.
  • Complete job hazards assessments.
  • Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as per company policies and procedures.
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections to ensure equipment is fully functional and safe for operating.
  • Record all inspections in equipment log book and report equipment deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Fuel equipment as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team and supervisor via hand signals and radio communications.
