Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Superintendent – Water Management is responsible for leading the engineering, planning, development, and execution of water management at the mine site. This includes design of water management systems and infrastructure. Direct and indirect management of operations and contractor teams associated with water management systems. Engineering and design review. Execution of maintenance, improvement, and construction of water management systems. Environmental compliance, production improvement, and cost savings initiatives.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
Safety
· Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
Environmental Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
· Develop and implement environmental management plans.
· Review environmental standards and develop water management systems to optimally deliver on these requirements.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
· Prepare and manage budgets and aid with inputs to the site budget.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
Communication and Collaboration:
· Collaborate with various departments across several site divisions to drive improvement on water management.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties.
· Integrate the overall site water management plan across all departments.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Analyze data and reports.
· Use data-driven insights to optimize processes and address challenges.
· Bachelor's degree in Water Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum 10 years experience in related water management mining roles.
· In-depth knowledge of mine water management principles.
· Familiarity with the latest technologies and software used in this field.
· Experience in project management and the ability to coordinate activities across different departments.
· Knowledge of mining regulations and environmental compliance standards.
· Experience in developing and implementing plans to ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Understanding of the economic aspects of water management operations, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
· Start up experience considered an asset. Ability to create a world class mine water management program.
· Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage and lead a complex water management programs including both technical and operational aspects..
· Ability to complete the work, lead by example.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
· The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and communicate with stakeholders is crucial.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges in mining operations.
· The capability to analyze data, interpret technical information, and make informed decisions.
· Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
· Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.
· Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
