Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Performs end to end recruitment tasks, including role briefs, job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, probity checks, and offer management.
  • Provides specialist advice regarding the attraction, selection, and on-boarding lifecycle, ensuring a diverse range of candidates are considered.
  • Designs and implements innovative sourcing strategies to attract and select outstanding talent, encourage internal talent development, and reducing recruitment costs.
  • Facilitates quality candidate management, and a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Acts as the point of contact for the candidate for updates, feedback, and queries during the recruitment process.
  • Implements programs including performance reviews, training and development, compensation reviews, employee communications and benefit administration.
  • Implements individual and HR team projects such as reward and recognition, retention, statistical analysis, and career development programs.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments, leading and/or partnering on the communication and implementation of new HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provides information and advice regarding workforce planning, employee relations, workplace issues, workplace health and safety, and HR related legislation.
  • Conducts exit interviews, identifies key issues and trends and makes recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Monitors the employee experience to identify employee relations issues and opportunities, recommends ideas and actions.
  • Ensures the disability management program is effective, including short-term and long-term leaves, and in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Evaluates human resources policies and programs against operational and employee needs Completes routine administrative functions.
  • Keeps current and ensures compliance with changes to legislation such as Human Rights Act, Privacy Act, Employment Standards, and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Promotes a team-based culture between employees, departments, partners and contractors.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards without compromise, supporting and living the company values.
  • Openly supports company policy regardless of personal views.
  • Monitors key human resources metrics to identify operational level trends and strategic issues requiring action planning.
  • Maintains employee records and coordinates with the payroll department to ensure correct employee data.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years human resources experience in a mining field required
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree with a focus on Human Resources preferred
  • Mining experience considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of labour laws, employment practices and HR principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams and PowerBI preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities, fast-paced environments and evolving organizational needs
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations, training sessions and reports to various audiences
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively
  • Ability to act with integrity, good judgement and discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with employment legislation including Employment Standards, Labour Code, HumanRights and Privacy
  • Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
  • Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
  • Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
