Reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical, the Supervisor – Electrical, oversees the identification, planning and execution of construction/commissioning on all site areas as required. This position ensures that all construction/commissioning targets and schedules are met as forecasted and performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
Location: Blackwater Mine site
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
Supervise and lead a team of electricians to deliver quality construction activities in a safe and proactive manner.
Establish, coordinate and direct all electrical construction activities for hourly and contract workers.
Take an active role in the employment and development of the Construction Electrical team.
Ensure effective management of staff by setting clear performance goals, providing regular feedback and development through training.
Ensure direct reports are developed, trained and coached to obtain optimum efficiencies and achieve their full potential.
Ensure all Preventative Maintenance tasks and reoccurring corrective tasks have up to date safe operating procedures (SOP).
Interface between BWG,EPCM, and project contractor supervision.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment
Minimum qualifications:
Electrical trade certification with 5 years direct supervisory experience
A thorough understanding of:
High and Low Voltage electrical distribution systems
High Voltage operations and isolations
The CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) Standards including CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety
Electrical & Instrument maintenance and installations best practices
Experience in supervision and mentoring of personnel
Sound knowledge of M421 Standards (Use of Electricity in mines)
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Proactivity and ability to work independently.
Provide quality, detail-oriented safety driven results
Good oral and written communication skills
Computer literate and advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
Ability to prepare accurate records and reports.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.
Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.
