Overview

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”).  Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with a strong financial capacity aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.


Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Supervise Warehouse Technicians and provide leadership, coaching and training to support their development and performance.

Operations Phase

  • Ensure receiving is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure issues are filled accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure shipping is completed in a timely fashion and ready for outgoing trucks with proper shipping documents.
  • Liaise with management, suppliers and end-users with respect to warehouse operations.
  • Understand and address warehouse and logistics operational needs for Operations, Maintenance, and the Plant.
  • Communicating effectively with company personnel and suppliers while executing warehousing and transportation business processes.
  • Continuous improvement of business processes for warehouse receiving, quality assurance, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
  • In collaboration with the Maintenance Team, manage and coordinate component repair and warranty work.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a warehouse and logistics role, and familiarity with the mining or energy industry
  • Warehouse Journeyman Trade/Technical Certification
  • Competent computer skills using office software such as Microsoft Office, particularly excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Able to work in a team and play a leadership role
  • Attention to detail, especially with writing and editing
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines while producing high quality, error-free content
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Strong liaising and networking skills
  • Education in warehouse and inventory management, purchasing and supply is an advantage
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
