This role has the potential to be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity, with the expectation of site visits. 

 

Reporting to the Superintendent – Human Resources, the Recruiter is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment activities across site. This role partners with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent while delivering a strong candidate experience.

 

The Recruiter will build strong relationships across departments to understand workforce needs and develop effective sourcing strategies to support operational goals in a remote mining environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong safety leadership by promoting and adhering to BW Gold’s safety standards, procedures, and systems
• Lead full-cycle recruitment including creating position descriptions, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and coordinating the offer process, including         drafting offer letters, and working with HR and hiring leaders to finalize compensation and start details
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and candidate expectations to support effective recruitment
• Source candidates using a variety of channels, including job postings, LinkedIn, and other platforms to support hiring needs

• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements
• Ensure a strong candidate experience through clear, timely, and professional communication
• Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Coordinate and support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
• Maintain and update recruitment tracking and reporting
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through recruitment practices and candidate selection Support inclusive hiring practices and ensure fair and consistent candidate selection
• Support recruitment-related communications and activities that promote BW Gold as an employer of choice
• Work with HR team members to support site hiring needs and priorities
• Maintain accurate recruitment records in systems such as iCIMS and other tracking tools
• Identify and support improvements to recruitment processes and tools
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in mining, construction, or industrial environments
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field would be considered an asset
• Experience recruiting for remote or camp-based operations is considered an asset
• Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment legislation
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams; Power BI considered an asset
