Reporting to the IT Superintendent, the IT Support Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to staff and ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of IT systems and networks. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer service–focused mindset, and a solid technical foundation across computer hardware, operating systems, business applications, and network environments.
Location: Blackwater Mine Site
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
Strong hands-on expertise with Windows operating systems and endpoint hardware troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Office applications).
Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, including malware mitigation, authentication controls, and data protection practices.
Class-5 drivers license with experience travelling on radio-controlled unpaved roads, including in winter conditions.
Exposure to cloud-based identity and access management platforms (e.g., Azure Active Directory).
Familiarity with remote support technologies and modern endpoint management tools.
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, evolving technology environment.
Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
