The Treasury Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Company’s treasury function, preparing cash flow forecasts, and ensuring efficient treasury operations to meet business needs. The Treasury Analyst will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the treasury function. This role works closely and will gain exposure to other functions within our corporate and site finance departments, including supporting our general accounting and FP&A activities.

Treasury:
• Monitor and manage the company's cash position to meet business needs.
• Maintain the weekly cash flow forecast and analyze key drivers for changes in the Company’s liquidity position.
• Creation of payments, in line with the approved cash flow forecast.
• Creation of treasury approvals, coinciding with our delegation of authority limits.
• Communication with the Commercial Accountant to ensure accurate forecasting of cash inflows from commercial operations.
• Create and maintain processes and controls to ensure that the procure to pay process is efficient.
• Maintain treasury records and reports, including monthly bank reconciliations and treasury-related journal entries.
• Support treasury administrative functions, including bank account opening processes, interest income, and bank fee analysis.
• Administer and maintain the treasury management system and banking platforms.
• Approval of new vendor set ups.
• Assist with the execution and further development of the Company’s hedging strategy.
Support General Accounting and FP&A:
• Prepare corporate month-end accounting and associated working papers
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Maintain the corporate cash-cost forecast model, and integration with the company-wide model.
• Support with other reporting requirements (ESTMA, GHG, etc.), as required.
• Support with general accounting of other managed companies, as required.
• Preparation of monthly tax returns in order to ensure timely processing of cash receipts.
In addition to the above treasury and general accounting points, other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years in treasury and/or accounting; prior experience working in a vendor-facing role is an asset
• Basic understanding of working capital management and financial modelling
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA designation or working toward a CPA designation is an asset
