This role is pivotal in directing and reviewing geotechnical analyses, particularly emphasizing soil mechanics, managing quality control, and mitigating risks throughout the design, construction and operating phases. The position will play a vital role in developing and realizing the mining business plan.

They will oversee all mobile maintenance contracts and mobile maintenance personnel including planning, scheduling, execution and improvement of work processes as well as budgeting, staffing, cost containment, and profitability. They will work closely with the Fixed Plant Maintenance to ensure that the asset management and reliability framework captures all elements of Blackwater Gold Mine ‘s mobile fleet. The candidate will promote and respect Blackwater Gold Mine Culture, Health and Safety Code of Conduct, and the Environment.

Reporting to the Vice President, Environment and Social Responsibility, this full-time and permanent position will be responsible for environmental aspects of the mine, including development and implementation of related systems and plans, and working closely to support the site team. The successful candidate will play a lead role in ongoing the mine permitting efforts (amendments and permitting required for future phases of the mine). A strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship is essential for success in this role. The role will be based in Vancouver.
